Section 01
Your agreement with Pawliday
These Terms govern access to Pawliday's website, applications and services. By creating an account, publishing a listing, sending a request or making a booking, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Pawliday.
Pawliday is operated from Cyprus. Contact us through the support centre or at pawliday.cy@gmail.com.
Section 02
What Pawliday provides
Pawliday is a marketplace that helps dog owners discover hosts, exchange information, request overnight care, daycare or dog walking, communicate, arrange a meeting, book, pay, receive updates and review completed services.
Hosts provide the dog-care service. Unless Pawliday expressly says otherwise for a particular service, hosts are independent providers and are not Pawliday employees, agents or franchisees. Pawliday does not own, inspect or control a host's home and does not guarantee that every user, listing or service will meet every expectation.
A host may act privately or as a trader. Where required, Pawliday may request and display trader information. Consumer rights can differ when the care provider is not acting as a trader.
Section 03
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract.
- Information must be accurate, current and belong to you. One person must not impersonate another or create accounts to avoid restrictions.
- You are responsible for access to your email account, sign-in codes and activity under your account.
- Owner mode and host mode are separate experiences. A user who has both roles must act in the correct role and may not book their own listing, review themselves or manipulate marketplace activity.
- Pawliday may require identity, phone, payment or payout verification before sensitive actions such as booking, listing, receiving money or accessing another user's private profile.
Section 04
Owner responsibilities
An owner must be the dog's legal guardian or have authority to arrange care. Before a host decides whether to accept, the owner must provide complete and honest information.
- Disclose health conditions, medication, vaccinations, behaviour, bite history, escape risk, reactivity, separation needs and compatibility with people or animals.
- Provide current veterinarian and emergency-contact details, required supplies and clear care instructions.
- Confirm that the requested service, home and host are suitable for each dog, including through the meet-before-booking process.
- Remain reachable during the service and arrange prompt collection when required.
- Pay all prices and fees shown before confirming the booking.
A material omission may lead to cancellation, removal from Pawliday, responsibility for resulting costs, or loss of eligibility under any separately stated protection programme.
Section 05
Host responsibilities
Hosts must provide competent, humane and attentive care consistent with the listing, booking and agreed instructions.
- Complete required identity and payout verification before listing or receiving payment.
- Publish accurate home, household, pet, child, capacity, experience, availability, service and price information.
- Maintain a safe environment, appropriate supervision, secure handling and heat-safe routines.
- Accept only dogs and schedules the host can safely manage, and never transfer care to an undisclosed person.
- Follow medication and emergency instructions, keep the owner informed, and report incidents immediately.
- Maintain any licence, registration, tax status, permission or insurance required for the host's activity and location.
Identity verification confirms submitted identity evidence; it is not a qualification, criminal-record check, home inspection or guarantee of future conduct unless a profile explicitly states an additional completed check.
Section 06
Listings, search and ranking
Hosts control their listing content, services, availability and base prices, subject to Pawliday's standards. Pawliday may correct formatting, remove unsafe or misleading content, and suspend listings while a concern is reviewed.
Search results may depend on service type, dates, location, distance, availability, dog compatibility, identity status, home features, responsiveness, ratings and filters selected by the owner. Map position and prior user choices may also affect what is shown. Pawliday does not currently sell higher organic ranking.
Saving a host, a match label or a recommendation does not guarantee availability or suitability. Owners remain responsible for reviewing the complete listing and booking details.
Section 07
Requests and bookings
- A request is not a confirmed booking. The host may accept or decline it.
- For a first stay, Pawliday's flow may require a meet-and-greet and confirmation from both sides before payment opens.
- A booking becomes binding when the required confirmations and payment are successfully completed and Pawliday shows it as confirmed.
- Changes to dates, dogs, service or price must be made through Pawliday and accepted by both sides.
- Users must keep communications and payment on Pawliday. Circumventing the platform removes important records and may lead to suspension.
Any mandatory consumer rights that apply to a booking remain unaffected.
Section 08
Prices, fees and payouts
The host sets the care price. Pawliday may add an owner service fee or deduct a host fee. The full amount, fee breakdown, currency and cancellation rule are shown before payment.
Stripe processes card payments and host payouts. Users may need to accept Stripe's terms and complete Stripe verification. Pawliday does not guarantee the timing of a bank or card provider and may delay a payout where a refund, dispute, fraud review, account restriction or legal obligation requires it.
Users are responsible for their own taxes. Pawliday may collect, retain or report information where platform or tax-reporting rules require it. Tips, credits, promotions and referral benefits are available only where the app expressly offers them and may have additional conditions.
Section 09
Cancellations and refunds
At launch, an owner or host may cancel in the booking before the service begins. An unpaid request closes without charge. If a booking has been paid, Pawliday initiates a full refund to the owner's original payment method.
After a service begins, users must contact support. Pawliday will prioritise the dog's safety, document what happened, and decide any refund, payout adjustment or replacement assistance according to the booking, evidence, law and any applicable protection terms.
Banks and card providers control when a refund appears. Pawliday may change the launch cancellation rule for future bookings, but the rule shown when a booking is confirmed will govern that booking unless law requires otherwise.
Section 10
Dog welfare and emergencies
The dog's welfare comes first. If urgent care is reasonably needed and the owner cannot be reached, the host may contact the listed veterinarian, emergency contact, Pawliday support or an appropriate emergency veterinary service.
The owner authorises reasonable emergency steps consistent with the care profile and remains responsible for veterinary and related costs unless an applicable insurance policy, guarantee, host responsibility or law provides otherwise. A host must not delay urgent care while waiting for a payment decision.
Threats, violence, animal cruelty, abandonment, illegal activity or a credible immediate safety risk may be reported to emergency services or relevant authorities.
Section 11
Insurance and Pawliday Guarantee
Insurance and the Pawliday Guarantee are separate forms of protection. Neither applies merely because Pawliday is used.
- Insurance applies only when the booking expressly shows an insurer, eligibility, coverage, limits, exclusions, excess or deductible and claim process before payment.
- Pawliday Guarantee applies only where the booking includes the approved guarantee schedule describing eligibility, evidence, claim deadline, available remedy and exclusions.
A badge or general marketing statement does not expand the written policy or guarantee terms attached to a booking. Nothing in this section excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Section 12
Reviews, messages and content
Reviews must come from genuine Pawliday interactions and reflect honest experience. Pawliday may label verified stays, reject self-reviews, remove manipulation and moderate content that is unlawful, unsafe, irrelevant, discriminatory, threatening, fraudulent or privacy-invasive.
You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant Pawliday a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize, display and distribute that content only as needed to operate, promote and improve Pawliday. You must have permission to upload it and must respect other people's privacy and intellectual-property rights.
Report illegal or unsafe content through support. Pawliday may preserve evidence, explain a moderation decision where required and provide an available review route.
Section 13
Acceptable use and suspension
Do not misuse Pawliday, scrape or attack the service, send spam, evade fees, manipulate rankings or reviews, discriminate unlawfully, harass others, publish false information, expose private addresses, use another person's identity or arrange prohibited activity.
Pawliday may warn, restrict, remove content, pause payments, cancel a listing or booking, or suspend an account where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance or enforcement of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will consider context, severity, recurrence and the interests of affected users, explain the action and provide a way to ask for review.
Section 14
Responsibility and liability
Users are responsible for their own acts, omissions, dogs, homes, listings and care decisions. Pawliday is responsible for operating the platform with reasonable care but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, a particular match, or that a user will never act improperly.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pawliday is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, lost profits, or losses caused by information a user withheld, off-platform arrangements, third-party systems or events outside reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, gross negligence where it cannot be excluded, or any consumer right or other liability that law does not allow us to exclude.
Section 15
Changes, law and disputes
We may update these Terms as Pawliday develops. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email and will apply from the stated date. The terms shown at confirmation continue to govern an existing booking unless a change is required by law or agreed by both sides.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes.
Please contact Pawliday support first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly. You may also use any statutory consumer complaint or alternative-dispute process available to you.
